On Thursday, CNN announced that it will be hosting the fifth and sixth Republican primary debates, set to take place next month.
The events have been scheduled for January 10 at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, and January 21 at St. Anselm College in Goffstown, New Hampshire.
According to CNN, to participate in the Des Moines debate, contestants must receive at least 10 percent in three separate national and/or Iowa polls conducted among Republican caucusgoers or primary voters between October 15 and January 2. One of them must be an approved CNN poll that surveys caucusgoers.
The entry requirements for the New Hampshire debates are similar, however instead of January 2, candidates can cite polls released up until the 16th, and the CNN poll must have surveyed likely primary voters.
The outlet also revealed that any candidate who finishes in the top three in the Iowa caucuses will be invited to participate in the New Hampshire debate.
This is a breaking story and will be updated.
