Former Republican nominee for New York City mayor and well-known Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa was arrested Sunday while attending a protest outside Gracie Mansion.
This arrest reportedly will mark Sliwa's third in recent days; Fox News reported last week that he was arrested for a second time amid a migrant housing protest.

The precise reason for Sliwa's Sunday arrest is currently unknown. Last week, he was booked after he called on other protest attendees to join him in blocking the street.
"Have pity. No tent city!" Sliwa chanted earlier this month in criticism of the city's policies under Mayor Eric Adams. "We're going to keep driving this point home until you decide to be the mayor and represent American people who are citizens of New York City who pay their taxes and afford to put you in a $5000 customized suit each and every day."
Silwa is not alone in his opposition to the New York mayor's current policies. CBS New York reported on Saturday that a Staten Island resident had said in reference to a city initiative for housing migrants that it is "unfair" and that "her tax dollars shouldn’t be going to this."
Silwa could be seen being perp-walked after the arrest:
