BREAKING: President Biden finally weighs in on Gov Cuomo scandal

During an unscheduled question and answer session on the White House South Lawn a reporter asked the President, "Do you think Gov. Andrew Cuomo should resign?"

Biden responded, "I think the investigation is underway and we should see what it brings us."

On Friday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki once again dodged a direct question from the press regarding the multiple sexual harassment allegations against New York Governor Cuomo. Psaki said that the president believes that the six women who have come forward with allegations against Cuomo should be "treated with respect" but refuses to say whether the governor should resign.

A reporter asked "Does the President believe that the governor [Gov. Cuomo] should resign?"

"The president believe that every woman who has come forward—there've now been six, I believe, who've come forward—deserves to have her voice heard, should be treated with respect, uhh, and should and be able to tell her story," Psaki said.

"There also is an independent investigation that is ongoing, of course, in the state, with subpoena power overseen by the Attorney General, and he certainly supports that moving forward."

"We of course have watched the news of a number of lawmakers' call for that...but I don't have any additional announcements from here."

There have been repeated calls for Cuomo to resign, from politicians on both sides of the political spectrum. This includes GOP and Democrat lawmakers in the assembly, as well as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Democratic NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio as well as both Democrat Senators from New York, Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand.

This is a developing story.
