Andrew Bates, White House spokeman, said in a statement to Bloomberg, "Since 2008, the President has disclosed his history with sleep apnea in thorough medical reports. He used a CPAP machine last night, which is common for people with that history."

Indications of the device were seen on his face Wednesday morning and a report from 2008 showed that he has had trouble with sleep apnea in the past.

In a 2021 White House press release about Biden's health, the White House said that his "lung examination, oxygen saturation and chest imaging [were] entirely normal."

Biden's health has been on the mind of many Americans, a poll done by NBC included a survey about his health versus former President Donald Trump's.

The poll found that 68 percent of voters are "concerned that Biden doesn’t have the necessary mental and physical health to be president." This is opposed to the 55 percent who have concerns over the health of Trump.
