California governor cracks down on ‘climate crisis’ while easing restrictions on pedophilia

State Senator Scott Wiener's (D) bill, SB145, allows judges to use discretion on whether an individual should be placed on the state's sex offender registry when the age difference between the adult and child is no more than 10 years and the child is at least 14-years-old.

The bill was signed by Newson to end "blatant discrimination against LGBTQ youth in California by treating them 'the exact same way that straight young people have been treated since 1944,'" according The Hill.

Basically, instead of cracking down on sex offenders with minors, the bill "expands that same discretion in regard to voluntary oral or anal sex" as was already in place for sexual offenses regarding vaginal intercourse. The state of California has decided to relax its laws on offenders who have oral or anal sex with minors. And this is apparently a win for the LGBTQ community.

Newsom's passivity toward underage sex comes as he has taken a strong stance on climate change, tweeting out: "The hots are getting hotter. The wets are getting wetter. Climate change isn’t something that is going to happen in the future. It’s happening right NOW."

Newsom tweeted out another message, saying that "this isn't an intellectual debate. This isn't about ideology. The proof is right in front of our eyes. The impacts of climate change simply cannot be denied."

Newsom claimed that the debate is over around climate change, challenging skeptics to visit the state of California to take a look at the wildfires that have raged across the Pacific Northwest. He continued by saying that "we are in the midst of a climate emergency," adding that "we are in the midst of a climate crisis."

He added that experts had been warning the people about this for decades, but now it is reality, noting that California is experiencing weather conditions that "we" have not seen in our lifetimes.

Just to recap: sexual offenses with minors, not a big deal; the impact of climate change on California's fires, however, is something about which there can be no debate.
