CDC critical race theory training stopped in its tracks after Trump ban
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta has just had their new training cancelled, due to it going against recent guidelines from the Trump administration prohibiting the use of critical race theory.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta has just had their new training cancelled, due to it going against recent guidelines from the Trump administration prohibiting the use of critical race theory.
Discovery Institute researcher and investigative journalist Chris Rufo, who previously had made public revelations leading to the Trump executive order banning the use of critical race theory in anything having to do with the federal government, talked to the press on Monday.
He mentioned that critical race theory postulates “systems of structured inequality," and blames systemic racism for all police deaths and for deaths due to the current pandemic. It also attacks ideas such as meritocracy.
"These types of 'trainings' not only run counter to the fundamental beliefs for which our nation has stood since its inception, but they also engender division and resentment within the federal workforce," Rufo went on to comment, according to Fox News.
"According to press reports, in some cases these training have further claimed that there is racism embedded in the belief that America is the land of opportunity or the belief that the most qualified person should receive a job," wrote the director for the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Russ Vought.
The Department of Health and Human Services, under which umbrella the CDC falls, told Fox News that all government agencies are expect to comply with the executive order from the Trump administration and to obey the cease and desist order.
