A couple has been arrested in the May 21 road rage shooting that took the life of 6-year-old Aiden Leos as he rode in a car with his mother. Eriz Marcus Anthony, 24, and Wynne Lee, 23, were arrested in Costa Mesa, California, outside their home.
They will be charged with the little boy's death, according to California Highway Patrol, according to the Daily Mail.
The duo allegedly shot at the car on 55 Freeway in Orange County, where little Aiden was riding in the back seat while his mother, Joanna Cloonan, drove the car. The bullets hit him in the abdomen. A memorial service was held for the child on Saturday.
The precipitating incident was apparently what was "perceived as an unsafe lane change." A car cut Cloonan off, according to witnesses who stopped to help her, at which time she apparently made a hand gesture in response.
The car that cut her off, allegedly driven by Anthony and Lee, then got behind Cloonan and shot into the back of her car.
