Daily Wire stands up to Biden, will not comply with vaccine mandate

"I just got off the phone with our lawyers, and I just want to reiterate something that I already said today on Twitter," Daily Wire co-CEO Jeremy Boreing said on Thursday.

"No. The Daily Wire does have more than 100 employees, but we won't be enforcing Joe Biden's unconstitutional and tyrannical vaccine mandate. That's it, we'll use every tool at our disposal, including legal action to resist," said Boreing.

"Biden's ultimatum will impact over 80 million private sector workers. Companies that refuse to comply will face up to $14,000 in fines for every single violation. So I'm sure most companies will probably just do it. They don't have much choice," Boreing continued. "We won't."

Boreing noted that he and the company are not anti-vaccination, "I'm personally very pro-vaccine. I think the COVID vaccines are probably the greatest scientific achievement so far in the 21st century," applauding the Trump administration for the speed in which they got the vaccines rolled out to the public.

"If I were dictator, I'd probably make you get it. But I'm not a dictator. And neither is Joe Biden. He has no right to impose this burden on American businesses. How are we supposed to pay for it? What are we gonna do with all these new liabilities that we incur from injecting ourselves into the private health decisions of our employees?" Boreing questioned.

Boreing noted that the mandate fails to take into consideration low risk demographic groups, those with natural immunity, and the fact that the vaccines are "pretty effective."

"So if you're vaccinated, congratulations, you're at low risk from COVID-19 whether your neighbors vaccinated or not. And that's good news, since you're vaccinated neighbor can still transmit the damn disease," Boring stated.

"It's not your job to protect me from me," said Boreing, who noted that "So people who want the COVID vaccine already have it, And those who don't want it shouldn't have to get it."

In response to the video, Senator Ted Cruz applauded the company's efforts, writing simply "bravo!" on Twitter.

"The Daily Wire will not be complying with Joe Biden’s unconstitutional, un-American, and anti-science vaccine mandate," Boreing told The Post Millennial. "In fact, we are mounting a legal team to take on his tyrannical administration. Joe Biden is abandoning persuasion and constitutional order because he knows that a growing number of Americans reject his presidency after his disastrous pull-out from Afghanistan. Americans have been forced to cede liberty after liberty over the last eighteen months. I am personally pro-vaccine, but we’ve had enough of this tyranny."

In an interview with Fox and Friends Friday morning, The Daily Wire's Ben Shapiro shared his thoughts on Biden's vaccine mandate, and the company's fight against it.

"Of course, now we're going to use every method and and resource at our disposal to defy the President's unconstitutional order and this is coming from somebody who's very pro vaccine," Shapiro told Fox and Friends.

"The notion that the federal government has the ability to force every business in America with over 100 employees, by the way I'm not sure why it's over 100 employees, theoretically it should be every business affected anywhere, right?" Shapiro said.

"But every business in America with over 100 employees to either force its employees to vaccinate or force them to test every week or fire them, presumably.

"He came into office saying I'm not going to shut down the economy, I'm not going to shut down the country I'm going to shut down the virus. He failed to shut down the virus and now he's going to shut down the economy in the country, apparently," Shapiro continued.

When asked about The Daily Wire's readiness to use legal action against the Biden Administration, Shapiro said that they are ready.

"I mean we are we are staffing up right now on the legal side. We are already getting any lawsuit ready that needs to be gotten ready. We have to see the actual regulations, know the details of that lawsuit," said Shapiro.

"What we can tell you is that the provisions that Joe Biden is going to be citing under OSHA are wildly over-broad, and frankly I think that he's made a huge tactical legal blunder here. I think there's every possibility that something like this goes to the Supreme Court level, and suddenly we see a complete rewriting of the administrative state because Joe Biden couldn't get his act in order, and so he decided to issue a tyrannical and authoritarian order here," Shapiro added.

The Daily Wire is not the only company pushing back against Biden's new vaccine requirements for businesses. Heads of Turning Point USA, the RNC, and The Blaze have all stated that they wont be complying, with some also stating that they wold be suing the administration.
