Daughter of deceased Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny working for Kamala campaign in Philly: report

According to the UK-based Times, the 23-year-old is working as an organizer for Harris, and had studied social psychology and political science in college before her June graduation. Navalnaya has been employed as a full-time manager for the Harris campaign in Philadelphia since August 2024, according to her LinkedIn account. However, the daughter of the deceased Russian opposition leader has not made any political statements in support of Harris.

Despite the efforts of Navalnaya as well as other Harris field workers in Pennsylvania, Trump is slightly ahead of Harris as of Monday in the Keystone state, per Real Clear Polling. A number of swing states have seen a marked boost in the polls in support of Trump as well, signaling that the Harris campaign lost steam after the "honeymoon period" when Biden was replaced on the ticket with the VP.

Shortly after her father's death, Navalnaya as well as her mother, Yulia Navalnaya, met with President Joe Biden at the White House where he expressed his condolences in late winter this year. Russian government officials suggested that his death was due to health problems, but leaked documents suggested that Alexei Navalny had been poisoned instead.

Pennsylvania is considered to be one of the most vital states for either presidential candidate to win come November, with Dasha Navalnaya working on the Harris campaign, it may raise questions about foreign entanglements in US elections when the Russia-Ukraine war is an issue in the upcoming election. Donald Trump has been accused of similar conflicts of interest with concerns over Russian election interference in 2016, however, the story of Russian collusion with Trump was proved to be a hoax.
