“The Biden Administration has proven that it will stop at nothing to continue its failed agendas.”

On Sunday, a former chief of the Detroit Police Department said that the Biden administration's policies are "devastating" the black community. In an op ed in the Detroit Free Press, James Craig said, "Whether it is 'Bidenomics' or the crisis at the southern border, the Biden Administration has proven that it will stop at nothing to continue its failed agendas, even if it means turning its back on the Black community."
"In discussing 'Bidenomics,'" Craig noted how inflation has led to "lower real wages" and noted that the state of Michigan dropped five places in median household income since 2019. "The Biden Administration’s inflation is hurting Black households more than white households," he added.

"With Joe Biden’s border crisis, fentanyl has been pouring into our communities," Craig added. "Black men are at a higher risk than any other demographic to die from a drug overdose, along with American Indian and Alaska Native men."
A recent New York Times/Siena College poll revealed that black and Hispanic voters had started to shift toward former President Trump in five key swing states, including Craig's state of Michigan. "Trump's strength is largely thanks to gains among young, Black and Hispanic voters," wrote Nate Cohn, an NYT chief political analyst.
The poll of the swing states showed the former president receiving 19 percent of the non-white voting bloc, which was up from 13 percent in the 2020 election. Craig said that Democrats have "taken advantage of the historic ties it has had with our community," while the Republicans "are reaching out to the Black community." He said, "Republicans want to welcome everyone into a party that is prioritizing economic freedom and putting Americans first."
