Disgraced ex-Gov. Cuomo allegedly caught ‘making out’ with married aide: state trooper

Cuomo and DeRosa were allegedly spotted by a state police bodyguard "making out on the sidewalk like high schoolers," according to the New York Post.

A female state trooper, who has accused Cuomo of sexual harassment, disclosed the account to the New York Attorney General's office.

During a Zoom interview on May 19, the unidentified trooper, who served on Cuomo's security detail, was asked by an outside lawyer hired by James whether colleagues ever "observed anything between the Governor" and any of Cuomo's Executive Chamber subordinates, according to the transcript.

DeRosa isn't identified as Cuomo's kissing partner in the 143-page document, but three sources with knowledge of the proceedings said the ex-aide's name is among several that were blacked out and replaced with job titles, such as "Senior Staffer #1"— the individual with whom Cuomo was allegedly seen canoodling.

"I had heard from Senior Investigator #1 that he once witnessed the Governor and Senior Staffer #1 like making out on the sidewalk like they were high schoolers,” the female trooper answered the James-hired attorney. "Again, he told me this. I didn't witness this. I wasn't even here at the time. But that's what I had heard."

When asked if she'd heard "anything else," the trooper said, "I heard a rumor that before Senior Staffer #1 [redacted] that the Governor and her were in a hotel room by themselves for like an hour. And then one of the two left the room."

"I heard that there was a guy named [redacted] here. I don't know how to spell his last name," the trooper said. "But he was driving once and saw Senior Staffer #1 and the Governor like making out. [Cuomo] was in the front seat. And Senior Staffer #1 was like sitting on the console kissing him."

The trooper said that "everyone kind of like assumes or thinks that there’s something going on between them."During the interview, the trooper noted that "during COVID, Senior Staffer #1 and Senior Staffer #2 were basically living at the mansion" from March until "the article about the trooper dating [redacted] came out." The article in question appears to be an October 2020 New York Post expose that revealed a trooper who had been one of Cuomo's bodyguards was transferred to a post near the Canadian border after he began dating Cuomo's daughter.

The possibility of Cuomo being intimate with DeRosa emerged during the scandalous probe that uncovered evidence he sexually harassed 11 women, including nine current or former state workers, while serving as the state's highest elected official. The report detailing the allegations led Cuomo to resign.

In the wake of the bombshell investigation report, one of the Como accusers filed a criminal complaint against the Democrat state leader. Cuomo is now facing a misdemeanor charge for allegedly groping the breast of another aide inside Albany's Executive Mansion, the governor's official residence.
