Speaking at the Republican National Convention on Monday, Donald Trump Jr told an MSNBC reporter to "just get out of here," adding that the outlet "couldn’t wait with your lies and with your nonsense" following the attempted assassination of Trump at a rally on Saturday.
The reporter asked what a second term would look like for Trump, claiming that Trump Jr would "say was a divisive figure." Trump Jr said that his father was not a divisive figure, but rather that "the media created divisiveness around him. They lied about Russia Russia collusion, they said he was a traitor, they went after him in every which way possible. If the media actually starts being an honest broker, talking about the things that he did, the prosperity he brought, the peace deals that he signed around the world rather than the disaster that we’re living right now I think you’d do everyone in the country a big favor."

So, just get out of here." Trump Jr referenced Saturday’s attempted assassination of his father at a Pennsylvania rally, in which Donald Trump’s ear was shot as well as two others being injured and one killed.
Trump Jr’s interview with MSNBC came as his father announced Senator JD Vance as his vice presidential pick. In response to the selection, Trump Jr wrote, "Biden is stuck with the worst VP in the history of our nation."
