Dr. Fauci suggests Trump’s health could still take a downward spiral following recovery from COVID-19
Though President Donald Trump has recovered and appears healthy, Dr. Anthony Fauci has casted an ounce of doubt on the idea that it will stay that way—leaving open the possibility that the president’s health could still be in jeopardy.
Though President Donald Trump has recovered and appears healthy, Dr. Anthony Fauci has casted an ounce of doubt on the idea that it will stay that way—leaving open the possibility that the president's health could still be in jeopardy.
Fauci presented the possibility that Trump could experience a "reversal" based on a number of other coronavirus patients after they began to feel better.
“He looks fine as you can see the way he looked when he came out of the hospital,” Fauci said on CNN.

“The issue is that he’s still early enough in the disease that it’s no secret that if you look at the clinical course of people sometimes, when you’re five to eight days in, you can have a reversal. A reversal meaning going in the wrong direction and getting into trouble.”
Fauci added that it was "unlikely that it will happen, but there needs to be heads up for it.”
“I think the monoclonal antibody made a difference and it is in clinical trial now to try to prove definitively if it works,” Fauci said.
The country's most notable infectious disease expert said that he would put off comment on the experimental antibody drug administered to Trump to fight the illness until test results come in.
Trump was able to return to the White House on Monday, where he is reported to be continuing his treatment after spending three days at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Trump took to Twitter on Tuesday morning, tweeting: "FEELING GREAT!"
At the time of this writing, 7.49 million Americans have contracted the virus, with 210,000 dying as a result. It is not clear how many have safely recovered from the contagion.
