WATCH: Jesse Watters slams the Bidens for having masked nurses dance and sing for them at The White House
“I am glad that our political leaders want to honor nurses, they’ve been through a lot in the last two years. But I also found this hard to watch and I know the nurses from my own institution, who have likewise been fired, would be really disgusted by this
Dr. Aaron Kheriaty joined Jesse Waters on Fox News Thursday and slammed the Biden administration for inviting nurses to sing at the White House while hospitals are allegedly at increased capacity following a surge in coronavirus cases as the new omicron variant emerges.
Dr. Kheriaty, a Professor of Psychiatry at UC Irvine, said the Biden administration's decision was "tone-deaf" considering the nurses they invited to perform work at New York's Northwell Health, a healthcare provider that recently fired over 1,400 employees for not complying with the vaccine mandate.

"I am glad that our political leaders want to honor nurses, they've been through a lot in the last two years. But I also found this hard to watch and I know the nurses from my own institution, who have likewise been fired, would be really disgusted by this number," Dr. Kheriaty explained.
"It was very tone-deaf," Kheriaty continued. "You've got a corny musical theater and scrubs escapade that is light-years removed from the realities on the ground. Not only the nurses being unjustly fired for choosing to exercise their right of informed consent and their right of informed refusal for medical interventions, but even the nurses that didn't get fired and are still working have been dealing with harsh realities on the ground for two years now."
Dr. Kheriaty mentioned that there are better ways nurses could have been honored that don't include "cheesy" and "corny" show tune number.
The Professor of Psychiatry went on to explain that highlighting the nurses from the same institution that just fired over one thousand employees added "insult to injury."
It wasn't just the nurses musical performance that sparked a frenzy across social media on Thursday, it was the fact that the singers were wearing masks while First Lady Jill Biden was mask-less.
