FBI seeks accused rioter previously released by Portland Police

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of 26-year-old Richard Eric Singlestad. He lists his residence as Washougal, Wash. on his social media. On June 28, Singlestad was allegedly part of a mob that tried to barricade police inside the Portland Police central precinct in downtown. Rioters threw rocks, glass bottles and paint at responding officers.

According to the FBI statement about Singlestad, he allegedly resisted arrest, pulling his arms away and bashed an officer in the face with a skateboard. He was cited with felony assault of a public safety officer and disorderly conduct in the second degree, but was not booked into jail. The Portland Police Bureau tells The Post Millennial in an email that Singlestad was not booked because he “made a complaint of pain and was transported to the hospital for evaluation.”

A source with knowledge of Singlestad’s June criminal citation says he “resisted pretty significantly” and that the injured officer’s face was “red and swollen” from being hit with the skateboard.

A federal arrest warrant was issued against Singlestad on Sept. 3 in the United States District Court for the District of Oregon on a felony civil disorder charge.

Singlestad’s sister, HayLeigh Seitz, has been urging the public on social media since Friday to inform her of his whereabouts. Seitz, who resides in North Carolina, says she has not spoken to her brother since March.

“I haven’t heard from him and that’s not like him,” she tells The Post Millennial. She says other family members have not connected with him since last year.

When asked if Singlestad is a political activist, Seitz stated: “Not that I know of, but maybe.” She then tried to dispel any of her brother’s ties to Black Lives Matter or Antifa. Singlestad’s social media posts are mostly apolitical. He lists N.W.A.’s “F— tha Police” as one of his favorite songs on a Facebook account.

Singlestad has blonde hair and hazel eyes, is approximately six-feet tall and weighs around 170 pounds, according to the FBI Wanted poster. Anyone with information is asked to call the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-800-336-0102, or contact the FBI’s Portland office at 503-224-4181 or submit a tip online.
