Hillary Clinton blames warm summer days on ‘MAGA Republicans’

In response to hot, summer temperatures in the United States, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton tweeted that "MAGA Republicans" are responsible for the heat.
Clinton quoted a tweet from CAP Action, which claims it is a "nonpartisan policy institute and advocacy organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of all Americans through bold, progressive ideas." The organization highlighted headlines pointing out the hot temperatures.

One headline from the CAP Action tweet said, "July 4 Was Earth's Hottest Day in Over 100,000 Years - Breaking Record For 2nd Day In A Row" from Forbes. The article references data points from another Washington Post report on the topic which estimates that it was the hottest day in around 125,000 years.
CAP Action added that "the climate crisis is here. That's when President Biden passed historic clean energy investments that will grow the economy... Every MAGA Republican in Congress voted NO."
The data used to collect the 125,000 years figure only goes back to 1979. As noted by the Washington Post, the 125,000 years claim comes from modeling done by climate scientists.
One scientist from the London Grantham Institute, Paulo Ceppi, spoke to the Post and said, “This is our ‘best guess’ of what the surface temperature at each point on earth was [on July 4]." The London Grantham Institute's vision is to have a "sustainable, resilient, zero-carbon future."
One user, Ryan Maue, who is a climate scientist and meteorologist, wrote a response to another related report from the Post, "Heat Waves in U.S., Europe 'virtually impossible' without climate change, study finds."
He said, "Without climate change, July's summer heat in the U.S. Southwest would have been 'virtually impossible.'"

Another user added, "You’re welcome. It’s July, it’s hot. Phoenix is a desert. Not sure what you expect."
