Yuscil Taveras, a Mar-a-Lago employee who oversees the facility’s surveillance, received a target letter from federal prosecution after former President Donald Trump was indicted in June.
Sources reported to CNN that Taveras met with investigators regarding the matter. It is unclear whether or not he is cooperating with the prosecution, but the sources said that the information he provided in the interview led in part to the second federal indictment of Trump.

View on RumbleThe updated indictment refers to Taveras as “Trump Employee 4” in the case. The indictment indicates that he was the “Director of Information Technology” at the club and worked with Carlos De Oliveira, the head maintenance man at Mar-a-Lago, to erase security footage.
Allegedly, Taveras held a small conversation with De Oliveira in a “small room known as an ‘audio closet’ near the White and Gold Ballroom” at Mar-a-Lago. They apparently had the exchange where De Oliveira told Taveras to keep the conversation “between the two of them.”
In that conversation, De Olveira allegedly told Taveras that “the boss” wanted the server information deleted. From details from the indictment, Taveras seemed hesitant to carry out the actions and told Oliveria he would have to “reach out to another employee who was a supervisor of security” to get it done.
Taveras is not facing any charges in relation to the classified documents case even though he was informed by the target letter that he was subject to being part of the investigation.
Taveras’ lawyer declined to comment on previous reports that his client was involved in the events and meeting with the prosecution.
After he received the target letter he changed legal representation. He had previously had the same lawyer, Stan Woodward, as Walt Nauta, another defendant in the case.
