MUST WATCH: Crowd goes WILD as Trump attends college football game in Nikki Haley’s home state of South Carolina

As often happens when the 2024 GOP frontrunner attends large sporting events, the crowd went wild, with cheers and applause heard from all over the stadium.

Prior to Trump's arrival, excited chants of "USA" rang in the stadium.

Haley is a member of Clemson's board of trustees. In 2019, Trump celebrated the Clemson Tigers at the White House with fast food feast of burgers and pizza.

In the context of Trump visiting Haley's home state amid the upcoming primary, spokesperson Olivia Perez-Cubas told the outlet that she is "the only candidate with momentum." She added, "South Carolinians know their governor has what it takes to win because they've seen her beat the odds before — not just once, but twice."

Trump has visited multiple universities to attend college football games and meet with young voters. In September, he visited the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity to tailgate before attending the Iowa vs. Iowa State football game. At the game, he was greeted by cheers as he entered the stadium.

Georgia State Senator Brandon Beach, who attended the Iowa-Iowa State game said "President Trump knows he can connect with people, and they are going to connect with him."

"These are American values," he said, reflecting on chants of "USA!" in Iowa. "They realize how much Trump loves our country. ... They want what he wants: good energy policy, a secure border, to be safe."

A recent Harvard/Harris poll had the former president with a 59-point lead over Haley nationwide and a 58-point lead to closest rival Ron DeSantis. Trump received 67 percent among GOP primary voters. In a head-to-head match, the poll shows Trump beating DeSantis 75 percent to 25 percent and beating Haley 81% to 19%.

South Carolina is the fourth state in line to host a primary, which will be held on February 24, 2024, after Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada. After that is Super Tuesday on March 5, when several other states have their primaries scheduled.
