"Run like you're scared! Get the f**k out of here, you f**king Nazis!" the mob shouted as they chased him down the street.
In a video that showed a brutal attack on a truck driver on Sunday night, Antifa militants dragged the victim—confirmed to be Adam Haner—out of his car and beat him until he was left bleeding and unconscious. His girlfriend was also violently beaten alongside him.

View on X26-year-old Marquise "Keese" Lee Love has since been identified as the suspect who delivered the running kick to the victim's head.
Love has a criminal history, charged in 2017 for domestic violence. His deactivated Facebook profile listed him as as a DJ in the evenings and an employee of the security firm Star Protection Agency.
The company's CEO Bryan Kettler told Fox News that Love was briefly employed from January through March as an unarmed security guard.
All the equipment issued to Love while he was a security guard had been accounted for, Kettler said. Love was spotted sporting a tactical vest with security patches, which are not part of any uniform issued, Kettler added.

Portland International Airport also confirmed via Twitter that Love has not worked there as a ramp agent "for a number of years."

View on XIn response, US Attorney Billy Williams for the District of Oregon released the following statement:
"Like many Oregonians, I was sickened by the video circulating online showing a man being pulled from his truck in Downtown Portland and beaten and kicked until he lies on the pavement unconscious. While the circumstances leading up to this brutal assault are still under state and federal review, I must condemn, in the strongest possible terms, this depraved violence. We must all continue to work together to achieve peace in the streets of Portland. If we are not successful, I fear one day soon we will wake up to news that a Portlander has been killed. We cannot let this happen."
The Portland Police Bureau stated that the department understands the high public interest in the case as social media has circulated information, "but investigators often need to make other connections not seen in videos."
"The Portland Police Bureau is taking this assault and other incidents of violence extremely seriously," Chief Chuck Lovell wrote. "Our Detectives continue to investigate this assault as well as other acts of violence directed toward protestors, but we need more than just videos from social media. In order to hold individuals responsible for criminal acts, we need the public to provide information and refrain from tampering with evidence."
Haner was transported to the hospital by ambulance with serious injuries, PPB reported early Sunday morning. Haner has since been released from the hospital and is recovering at home.
His older brother, Brian Haner, has set up a GoFundMe for him, raising almost $100,000 as of last night.

View on X"Hoping this money will help Adam get things together for his life after the attack he suffered. I know he will need repairs, or to replace the truck that was wrecked. He is going to need time to recover from his injuries as well," Haner's brother wrote.
"Plus replace things that where stolen from his pick-up that night, on Aug 16th. which happens to be my birthday," he added.
"He would give the shirt off his back to help any of the people around him, and he really didn't deserve what happened to him in Portland," Haner concluded. "He's always been cynical about the world at large, but has always been someone willing to step up and speak up to help someone being treated unfairly."

Prior to Haner's assault, rioters were also taped stealing a transgender woman's skateboard and backpack before violently attacking her near Southwest Taylor and 4th Ave. The trans woman was sobbing on the sidewalk and threatening to commit suicide. That's when Haner apprehended the thieves and attempted to console the trans woman.
"I can't even get into my house without my backpack," she cried. "I need my ID."
Investigators are still trying to locate the trans woman. She has not been contacted and her identity is unknown. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Detective Brent Christensen at 503-823-2087 or at Brent.Christensen@portlandoregon.gov.
