In response to Virginia Giuffre's lawsuit, Prince Andrew has requested a jury trial and formally denied the sexual abuse allegations made against him.
On Wednesday, Andrew and his lawyers released a response to Giuffre, the woman accusing the former royal, alongside now-dead convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, of sexually abusing her when she was a minor.
Giuffre's civil suit was allowed to proceed after a judge ruled that a 2009 deal signed by her and Epstein did not protect Andrew from being sued.

View on RumbleAccording to CNN, the 11-page response filed by Andrew and his lawyers details his side of the story, breaking down each allegation made against him by Giuffre.
"Prince Andrew denies that he was a co-conspirator of Epstein or that Epstein trafficked girls to him," his attorneys said. They also stated that Andrew denies being a "close friend" of Maxwell, or that he frequently visited Epstein's properties.
The response lays out Andrew's defenses, one of which suggests that, "Giuffre's alleged causes of action are barred in whole or in part by her own wrongful conduct and the doctrine of unclean hands."
Giuffre's lawyer, in turn, announced that he and his client were looking forward to "confronting Prince Andrew with his denials and attempts to blame Ms. Giuffre for her own abuse at his deposition and at trial."
The attorney slammed Andrew for attempting to victim-blame Giuffre.
Giuffre filed the lawsuit against Andrew in August of 2021, accusing him of rape and sexual assault of a minor. The lawsuit seeks unspecified compensation and punitive damages. Giuffre states that she was abused three times between 2000 and 2002, at Maxwell's home in London, at Epstein's mansion in New York, and at Little St. James, which was Epstein's private island in the US Virgin Islands.
"During this encounter, Epstein, Maxwell, and Prince Andrew forced Plaintiff, a child, to have sexual intercourse with Prince Andrew against her will," the lawsuit states.
In light of the allegations, Prince Andrew was recently stripped of all his remaining royal affiliations by Queen Elizabeth II.
