Peaceful protestors gathered outside Phoenix City Hall on Thursday morning for a "Protect the vote" rally, demanding that every vote be counted everywhere for the 2020 election.
Protestors are especially concerned about the notion that ballets marked with Sharpies are being discounted.
According to AZ Family, a flyer had been circulating which was jointly issued by the Tea Party Patriots group, along with Freedom Works America. The flyer states the following:
"More votes are being counted at Phoenix City Hall, and we need as many patriots to show up and have a presence outside as possible at 9 a.m. Bring your Trump flags, American flags, and signs. We can't let them steal this election."
"We want to make sure the process was done correctly to have election integrity," Smith said. "We're a national organization; we do have activists in all 50 states."
Maricopa County, the area at the centre of this particular controversy, is Arizona's most populous county by far, as it includes the cities of Phoenix and Mesa.
There is a strong possibility that the winner of Maricopa County in this current presidential election could thereby win the state, and even the entire election. There are 470,000 more ballets to be counted in Maricopa County as of this writing.
