Students eat lunch off the floor, prevented from looking at each other to mitigate COVID at Washington state high school

Aside from allegedly not being allowed to look at one another face-to-face during lunch, students at Gig Harbor High School are also spaced apart throughout the entirety of the cafeteria to enforce social distancing.

A quick gander of the photos obtained by the Jason Rantz Show reveals that students are required to eat lunch without being given a tabletop. Students at Gig Harbor High School allegedly eating their lunch from off the floor.

The school's extreme protocols were implemented to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

This isn't the only school in Washington state mandating strict COVID-19 policies. Recently, Eatonville High School made headlines after The Post Millennial reported that sports coaches were placing ankle monitors on student athletes to help with contact tracing.

The ankle monitors were placed on both vaccinated and unvaccinated Volleyball players and were allegedly designed for contact tracing in the event of a positive COVID test of a student.

The TraceTag device used by the school was made by a company called Triax. According to their website, the device was created for the purpose of "maintaining social distancing guidelines" and to provide "real-time insight into whether these guidelines are being observed" for construction and other manufacturing businesses, but makes no mention of school use on the website.

Eatonville High School moved to remote learning last week after individuals at the school tested positive for COVID-19.
