View on RumbleA video posted to social media on Sunday night by someone who claims to be an ex-employee at the store identifies the shooter as "Andre", showing him making jokes with his coworkers before ducking out after realizing he's being filmed.
"Facebook Live," the person recording the video says while laughing. "And that's Andre."
Walmart confirmed the identity of the shooter in a statement released afterward, saying: "We are focused on doing everything we can to support our associates and their families at this time. The alleged shooter has been identified as Andre Bing. We can confirm he was a Walmart associate."
Authorities have revealed that Bing was carrying a list of names that is believed to be a list of his targets. It is unclear at this time how long the list was or whether he completed it.
An employee who witnessed the shooting shared in an interview with local news outlet Wavy that "she believes the shooting was planned and targeted other managers at that specific Walmart."
Another witness told the same news outlet that the shooter pointed his gun at her and told her to go home as she hid under a table, sparing her life.
Other employees, both former and current, have made statements since the murders, all describing him in a somewhat negative light.
"Everyone called him weird," one former employee told New York Times. "That was all anyone could say about Andre."
"He had an attitude," said another former coworker who left his job just this month. "He was kind of aggressive. There were moments where he was OK, but he was definitely hard to work with and a little hostile."
"He was the type of guy who said, ‘I go to work and go home, I don’t have a social life,'" another said.
