Young woman surprised to match with Jessica Yaniv on lesbians-only dating app

Imagine her reaction when the first match generated by the algorithm was with a six foot tall, thirty two year old biological male transwoman who has a very public history of abusive behaviour towards women and girls.

At first, she thought it was a joke, but realised no humour was intended.

The individual Tianna matched with was Jessica Yaniv, who identifies as a five foot nine, twenty seven year old woman.

Yaniv is notorious in Canada, and beyond, for unsuccessfully attempting to sue multiple women aestheticians who declined to let Yaniv into their houses and wax Yaniv's scrotum. Yaniv claimed human rights violation, but the court found otherwise, admonishing the complainant for using human rights law as a "weapon [of] extortion," and ordered the complainant pay the victims' costs.

Anna Slatz reported in The Post Millennial that Yaniv engaged in sexual grooming online of Jessica Rumpel when she was between the ages of fourteen and fifteen. Rumpel subsequently filed a child exploitation report against Yaniv.

Yaniv attempted to set up a topless LGBT youth swim which he would attend, with children ages twelve and older, without their parents present. This attempt at grooming failed dismally when parents caught on.

Yaniv seemingly intended to find a romantic partner on an app specifically for lesbian women. These attempts to initiate a sexual relationship on a foundation of false pretences were—unsurprisingly—poorly received. The young woman characterised Yaniv's actions as "catfishing,” meaning to adopt a false identity online, for the purposes of online dating.

The two, it turns out, were not a match.
