Nova Scotia doctor charged with sexual assault after RCMP investigation

63-year-old Tim Fashoranti was arrested and has been charged. Fashoranti was released from custody on special conditions and is scheduled to appear in Amherst court on January 11, 2021.

A Pugwash, Nova Scotia doctor has been charged with sexual assault after an RCMP investigation.

63-year-old Tim Fashoranti was arrested and has been charged. Fashoranti was released from custody on special conditions and is scheduled to appear in Amherst court on January 11, 2021.

No additional details about the investigation have been released by police. It is not known whether or not the alleged victim was a former patient. Investigators believe there may be additional alleged victims, and are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
