"Thought this sh*t was AI, what we doing man."
Dart, a 23-year-old from Utah, took the stage in Suffern, New York, on Friday, where he said to the crowd, "Big Blue Nation, it’s a pleasure to be here. I got to start this off with a ‘Go Big Blue.'" He led the crowd in the chant for a few moments before introducing Trump.
"What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here, and without further ado, I’m grateful, I’m honored, I'm pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th president of the United States America, President Donald J. Trump," Dart said. Trump and Dart shook hands before they parted ways.
Carter, however, took issue with the video of his teammate and said in a post to X, "Thought this sh*t was AI, what we doing man."
In the 2025 NFL draft, Carter and Dart were both first-round picks. Dart was selected as No. 25 pick overall from Ole Miss and Carter was the No. 3 pick overall from Penn State. People responded to Carter's comment, taking issue with his teammate's rally appearance with Trump.
"lol you’re about to find out that he’s the franchise and you’re not bud. Also your new coach voted for Trump too. Grow up and get over it. If you voted for kamala who wants our tax dollars to pay for weirdos sex change surgeries, that’s your business bro but not everyone is dumb," conservative commentator and activist Robby Starbuck said in a post.
X user Michael Rose said in response, "You’re not gonna believe this but It’s possible to have different political opinions and coexist with each other. Like normal, respectful, well adjusted Americans."
