WATCH: Subway stabbing caught on video, NYPD look for suspect

The suspect reportedly stabbed the 51-year-old male victim numerous times in the back.

The New York Police Department is searching for a suspect that stabbed a male victim multiple times early Monday morning in a subway station.

The attack happened at approximately 6:00 am on May 31 inside the 125 St & Lenox Avenue 2/3 subway station in Manhattan.

The suspect reportedly stabbed the 51-year-old male victim numerous times in the back, as seen in a surveillance footage video posted with NYPD News’ tweet.

In the video, the suspect is seen facing off with the victim, who attempts to fight attacker off before the two go to the ground. A person passing by attempts to get the attacker off of the victim, before the suspect runs off.

The suspect is seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, and black shoes.

The suspect is wanted for assault, and the NYPD is looking for any information the public may have on the attacker.
