The Ontario PC party has passed a resolution no longer recognizing gender identity theory. The resolution itself says gender identity theory is “A highly controversial, unscientific ‘liberal ideology’; and, as such, that an Ontario PC Government will remove the teaching and promotion of ‘gender identity theory’ from Ontario schools and its curriculum.”

The vote was adopted as a party policy and but is not binding government policy. It is fairly common for certain sections of a governing party to jockey for power during a party convention, and in many cases, those policies are not executed on. We will have to wait for common from the Ford government to see where this resolution goes in the future. This story will be updated.
