"The FBI's involvement was deep not just on J6, but on the days and weeks and months prior."
"If you are asking whether the violence at the Capitol on January 6 was part of some operation orchestrated by FBI sources and or agents the answer is emphatically no," Wray told Higgins.
"The FBI was was not only involved in the actions on January 6 from within. They had, I suspect, over 200 agents embedded within the crowd including agents or as they would call human assets inside the Capitol dressed as Trump supporters before the doors were opened," Higgins told Newsmax.
"Beyond that the FBI had embedded themselves and infiltrated online chat groups and websites and social media accounts across the country with any group that was discussing objections to COVID oppression. The FBI you know, effectively infiltrated those groups.
"And when you track the text threads and the communications within those groups, and find the origins of suggestions of potential violence or an act of occupation of the Capitol on January 6, you'll find that those messages were led by members of the groups and ended up to be the FBI agents that had infiltrated the group. So the FBI's involvement was deep not just on J6, but on the days and weeks and months prior."
Recently released surveillance footage from that day shows protesters entering the Capitol after being let in by Capitol Police, and show further police violence against those protesters. Capitol Police beat the protesters with batons, sprayed them with tear gas, and in one instance shot an unarmed woman, killing her.
Over 1,200 Americans were arrested and charged for their participation in the protest. Many of them were charged with misdemeanor trespassing, and many who did not even enter the building were charged as well. The going narrative from the Biden administration is that it was a "deadly insurrection." However, no one has been charged with insurrection, and the only person killed that day was an unarmed Trump supporter.
