Conservative MP Pierre Poilievre released a statement on Thursday claiming that the Trudeau government is spending more than $1 million to create every new job.

In a bid to convince Canadians that Erin O'Toole will fix the country's economy, Poilievre slammed the Liberals for their monetary policy.

"Under Justin Trudeau," he began, "we are borrowing $424 million a day more than we can afford and are spending over a million dollars to create each new job. It's clear that Justin Trudeau's plan is one of high spending and low results."

Poilievre went on to suggest that Erin O'Toole's Canada Recovery Plan is what the country needs, claiming that it "will secure the future by creating jobs, growing the economy, and increasing wages for Canadians."

He concluded by urging Canadians to vote Conservative if they care about getting people back to work and growing the economy.

Throughout the statement, Poilievre repeatedly claimed that Trudeau's Liberals are "spending over a million dollars to create one job," however he did not go into detail on the math behind that claim.
