On Wednesday, authorities moved to shut down a screening of a documentary starring destransitioner Chloe Cole after far-left activists flooded into the venue and disrupted the event at the University of Utah.

The event, which was hosted by the University of Utah's Young Americans for Freedom chapter, was shut down by campus police after nearly 70 transgender rights activists disrupted the screening for more than 15 minutes with loud chants, according to YAF's the New Guard.

"Hey hey, ho ho, transphobia has got to go," the activists chanted as they took over the room, video shows.

Shortly after the activists flooded into the event, campus police demanded that they either stay quiet or leave the venue. They insisted upon staying and continued to cause disruption.

Lucy Atwood, chair of Utah YAF, told the New Guard: "I tried to do an introduction of the film for those who were there to learn about the horrific experiences that Chloe and others featured in the documentary have gone through, but each time I would talk, people would yell."

Atwood said that her chapter attempted to play the movie with subtitles on but campus police made the decision to shut down the screening. Instead of forcing the far-left activists to leave, police ordered everyone to vacate the venue.

According to the outlet, the chapter will be hosting Chloe Cole in person on November 30 and YAF's legal team is working to ensure that the event will proceed without it being shut down by authorities.

The Daily Caller documentary, Damaged: The Transing of America's Kids, tells the story of the lives of transgender people who wish they had never transitioned genders and the harmful effects it has had on their mental and physical health.
