A notorious pedophile in Quebec has been accused of reoffending after spending 15 years in a penitentiary. The offender was attempting to pay his roommate in a half-way house to take the blame, Journal de Montreal reports.

The man, described as Luc X, was living in a half-way house and was in possession of a GPS full of child pornography, including pictures of his four-year-old daughter.

The man's roommate told a Montreal courthouse this morning, "When he gave me the GPS he was telling me that his 4-year-old daughter was there, that he sexually assaulted her while in a wedding dress. But he wanted to do everything not to be accused, he told me to take the blame, that he would pay."

Luc X, 47, (whose last name is being withheld to protect his daughter) was first arrested in Quebec in 2002 for raping his four-year-old child. He was filming the acts and selling them on the internet.

He was sentenced to 15 years in prison in 2005. Once in a halfway house, he recovered images of his past assaults and uploaded them to a GPS device.

He bragged to his roommate that he had 1200 photos of all very young girls. According to the roommate, whose identity is also protected, the GPS was slowing down from all of the images the man had.

The pedophile apparently also shared the images to other half-way house inhabitants.

The witness told the court that he reported the man for spreading the images so he didn't have to go back to the penitentiary.

Luc X did not react throughout the whole testimony, sitting still while listening to his former roommates testimony.

The trial is ongoing.
