On Friday, Seattle police arrested the son of former Seattle Democrat Mayor Mike McGinn on child pornography charges.

Jack Francis Lynch McGinn, 29, admitted to downloading "at least a hundred files containing images or videos of underage children involved in sexually explicit conduct," according to court documents, per Kiro 7.

McGinn reportedly told detectives that "he has a cocaine addiction and goes on weekend benders which is when he typically views the child sex abuse material on his desktop."

Jack McGinn was arrested around 9 am at a home located in the 8500 block of Dayton Avenue North. The home is owned by his father, Mike McGinn, who has since moved to the east coast with his wife.

Mike McGinn was the Mayor of Seattle from 2010 to 2013. He was known for his progressive policies and was among the first to introduce detrimental police reform legislation.

Investigators issued a search warrant after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

During the home search, police found files on McGinn's computer that consisted of minors involved in sex acts.

Jack McGinn was booked into King County Jail on two counts of child exploitation charges. He has since been released on a $35,000 bail.
