The vice president of communications for Substack announced job openings at the subscription-based publishing platform and issued a warning to disgruntled Twitter employees triggered by Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk becoming one of the big tech company's largest shareholders. Musk, a staunch free speech advocate, has also now been appointed to Twitter's board after the massive stock buy.
"Substack is hiring! If you're a Twitter employee who's considering resigning because you’re worried about Elon Musk pushing for less regulated speech… please do not come work here," Substack VP Lulu Cheng Meservey tweeted Tuesday.

Many social media users have praised Musk's move in hopes of Twitter administration easing its no-tolerance enforcement of the Twitter Rules amid intensifying censorship efforts.
Several prominent conservative figures have been punished for calling biological male Assistant Health Secretary Rachel Levine a man. Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, satirical site The Babylon Bee, and Fox News personality Tucker Carlson were all suspended over "hateful conduct."
Journalists have used Substack as a blogging and reporting platform independent from legacy media, even as far-left activists rage a deplatforming campaign.
Meanwhile others censored on Twitter have found refuge at pro-free speech alternatives like Parler, GETTR, and Trump-branded TRUTH Social.
