Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) was reportedly caught in a verbal altercation in the halls of Congress on Friday, where he cursed at a staffer for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

The incident involved Swalwell and chief Greene spokesperson Nick Dyer.

Swalwell gave his side of the story:

"I had a mask on as I stepped off the Floor. An aide with @mtgreenee yelled at me to take my mask off. No one should be bullied for wearing a mask. So I told the bully what I thought of his order. Predictably, he went speechless. I regret I wasn't more explicit."

Scott Wong, a reporter with The Hill, had previously tweeted:

"Another verbal altercation just happened in the House: MTG's spokesman Nick Dyer told @RepSwalwell: 'Biden says you can take off your mask' Swalwell confronted Dyer, got in his face and according to Dyer, said: 'You don't tell me what to f**king do!'"

Greene gave her version of the story on witter, saying:

"Eric Swalwell chased my staffer into the Captiol, cornered him and exploded in anger inches from his face. This occurred in front of Capitol Police and reporters."

Greene has repeatedly claimed that she has been targeted and attacked by the Democrat-friendly media, and has even gone as far as releasing unedited footage of an interview to prove her point.

This latest incident comes on the heels of another confrontation between her and Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
