Pearson is the largest publisher of educational materials in the world, and has recently expanded to hold contracts with the United States government office that manages the hiring and assessment of federal employees. In recent years, it has taken an editorial turn to the left, pushing an increasingly radical ideology in its materials and subsidiary companies.

A report compiled by the Heritage Foundation has shone light on the ideology being promoted by the textbook giant, revealing that Pearson has made numerous far-left concepts integral to everything it does.

"This behemoth company maintains significant influence in the education-publishing world," the report states, "so, when the publishing giant's editorial guidelines say that the company will make radical ideas, such as 'antiracism,' 'colorism,' 'colonial discourse,' 'genderism,' and 'intersectionality,' part of everything it does, parents should know what this influential publisher is producing for students and adults everywhere."

According to the Heritage Foundation, Pearson's actions prove that the company "wants consumers of its materials to be social justice warriors." The report cites numerous examples of far-left "propaganda" being pushed by the education giant.

Its editorial content guideline booklet, for example, states that the company will seek to promote "anti-bias, anti-racism, and social equity in any content [they] produce." It has also begun using artificial intelligence to remove "biased terminology" from its materials.

The company also makes it clear that it wants to "go beyond representation and strive to practice principles of social equity," via products that "impact learners' engagement in social justice."

The editorial guidelines were created with consultation from Dr. Jason Arday, a radical leftists and sociology professor at Durham University.

Arday stated in no uncertain terms that the guidelines "represent a cultural shift in publishing that attempts to center race and racial equality at its core,” said Dr. Arday, applauding Pearson's "commitment to changing the racialized dynamics of publishing."

The report found that Pearson's content "may violate state and federal civil rights laws by promoting unlawful discrimination," accusing the company of creating content "based on Marxism-inspired ideas" that "promote prejudice."
