In the middle of what was otherwise a very acrimonious town hall attended by US President Donald Trump, he received a compliment from a person attending admiring his smile.
"Good evening, Mr. President … I have to say- you have a great smile.," Paulette Dale told trump as she was handed the microphone during the course of the NBC townhall according to Fox News.
"Thank you, thank you," replied Trump, laughing. The audience applauded for several seconds.
"He does!" Dale insisted, and went on to say, "You're so handsome when you smile."
According to the moderator of the town hall, Savannah Guthrie, Dale is registered to vote as a Republican, but nonetheless she voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential elections. She also said in her own words that she was “leaning” to giving her vote to presidential hopeful Joe Biden this time around.
Dale went on in the video to describe herself as the “daughter of immigrants from Eastern Europe who were escaping religious persecution” and asked the president a question regarding his immigration policies.
