Caucus unity within the Liberal party appears to be rapidly crumbling.

Over the last few days, a number of Liberal MPs have put out a message in support of Jody Wilson-Raybould.

This includes Treasury Board President Jane Philpott who Tweeted out, "You taught me so much - particularly about Indigenous history, rights and justice."

As well as Liberal MP Wayne Long who called for an investigation into the scandal.

While some Liberal MPs have voiced themselves, perhaps one of the most important actors has been Jody Wilson-Raybould's father, who continues to openly state that she will speak her truth, and that the PM had kicked his daughter in teeth.

In the middle of this growing scandal, it appears that the PM has doubled down on information control rather than transparency.

According to the CBC, the PM chose to have a one-way call with his MPs, where he told his side of the story to exclusively his caucus.

All questions were to be directed to aids once the call was complete, who would then return with a response.

You would think that if the PM was truly without fault, he would be able to at least speak candidly with his own caucus.

But then again, when the Liberal members of the Justice Committee are actively excluding important individuals such as Jody Wilson-Raybould and members of the PMO like Gerald Butts from questioning, what can you expect from the PM himself?

Why do you think the Prime Minister chose to do a one-way call?
