In a follow-up post, Trump added, "We know exactly where the so-called 'Supreme Leader' is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there - We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"
In a third post, Trump simply stated, "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!"
This comes as Israel continues strikes on Iran and Iran has launched hundreds of missiles on Israel. On Monday evening, the president emphasized that Iran cannot get a nuclear weapon as he has done in the past, and told reporters who were asking what he wanting to see happen in the war, that there needs to be "an end" to the conflict "not a ceasefire."
"AMERICA FIRST means many GREAT things, including the fact that, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!" Trump said in a Truth Social post on Monday.
According to the Daily Mail, there is also speculation that the US may be mounting a strike in Iran after reports said that the US sent 40 military jets to Europe, which is close enough to hit the country. However, on Monday evening, the White House and over the weekend signaled that the president did not have plans to get directly involved in the conflict.
The Israeli ambassador to the US has said that Israel still has some "surprises" to throw at Iran, which would make the pager attack carried out by Israel "look simple."
"We’ve pulled off a number of surprises," Yechiel Leiter told reporters. "When the dust settles, you’re going to see some surprises on Thursday night and Friday, that will make the beeper operation almost seem simple."
Additionally, a senior official in Israel has said that "very significant targets" in Iran will be attacked in Tehran.
