Trump slams biased NY judge, AG Letitia James for Civil Rights violations, 'false facts' in 'fraud' case

"This is Democrat Political Lawfare, and a Witch Hunt at a level never seen before."

A New York judge ruled on Tuesday that former President Donald Trump will have his organization essentially dissolved by rescinding several of his business licenses, thus making it challenging, if not impossible, for his businesses to function in New York.

In a statement issued by Trump, he criticized Judge Arthur Engoron as being "deranged" and "doing the dibbing" of Letitia James, who he called "completely corrupt and biased."

"Today’s action is a refutation of my status as the leading Candidate for President of the United States, including with a substantial lead over Joe Biden. It is a terrible reminder that the Radical Left Democrats will stop at nothing in trying to prevent me, and the American people, from winning the 2024 Presidential Election."

Trump said that prosecutors and judges are "getting more and more desperate and dangerous" as he pulls ahead in polls.

"The New York State Attorney General went before a Highly Politicized Democrat Judge, who refused allowing the case to go to the Commercial Division, where it belonged, to simply rule, despite all of the evidence to the contrary, that I committed fraud, which is both ridiculous and untrue."

Speaking in regards to the judge, Trump said "He hated everything about me at a level that I have never seen before, even beyond the hatred of that displayed by Letitia James."

"This is Democrat Political Lawfare, and a Witch Hunt at a level never seen before," he added. "It is an attempt to badly injure the opposing Party’s Leading, by far, Political Candidate."'

In a Truth Social post, Trump said he was being "unfairly sued" over "false fact," adding that the banks were paid back in full, "sometimes early," and that "there were no victims" in the case.

Judge Arthur Engoron, who oversaw a civil suit brought forth by the notoriously anti-Trump New York Attorney General Letitia James, also said he would continue to direct an "independent monitor" to surveil operations by The Trump Organization.

Trump attorney and spokesperson Alina Habba said the decision is both "an affront to our legal system" and "fundamentally flawed at every level."

Trump intends to appeal the decision.

Eric Trump, the former president's son, blasted the decision on Tuesday, referring to it as "an attempt to destroy my father and kick him out of New York."

"Today, I lost all faith in the New York legal system," said Eric Trump, who is both an executive in his father’s company and a listed defendant in the lawsuit. "Never before have I seen such hatred toward one person by a judge — a coordinated effort with the Attorney General to destroy a man’s life, company, and accomplishments."

"Anyone with even a basic understanding of the law should read the ruling and see for themselves how nonsensical and asinine the whole thing is. This is weaponized Blue State Marxist America, & another example of the sheer impossibility of a fairness & impartiality in these areas," Donald Trump Jr wrote on X.

Manhattan prosecutors had already considered filing criminal charges over Trump's alleged improper conduct but ultimately chose not to, leading to James suing Trump in an effort to kneecap his ability to do business in the state, according to the Associated Press.

Trump's legal defense team argued that James could not legally file the lawsuit in the first place, as there was no evidence Trump's actions in business had ever harmed the public. They also stated that many of the accusations of the lawsuit could not be pursued due to the statute of limitations.

James' lawsuit against Trump is just one of the numerous legal battles the former president is up against as he campaigns for a second term as President of the United States.
