Former President Donald Trump met with Ronna McDaniel, and afterward, he said there would be some "recommendations" to come for "growth" in the Republican National Committee (RNC).

According to two sources familiar with the discussion who spoke to Politico, the meeting took place at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida on Monday, one day after he said there may be some "changes" coming to the organization.

After the meeting, the former president and frontrunner in the 2024 Republican primary wrote in a Truth Social post that things have been looking bleak for "Crooked Joe Biden" in the upcoming election and that his "my friend Ronna McDaniel" had led Trump to victory in Michigan in 2016.

Trump added “Ronna is now Head of the RNC, and I’ll be making a decision the day after the South Carolina Primary as to my recommendations for RNC Growth."

Trump suggested there would be more changes coming during an interview on Sunday as well.

McDaniel was handpicked by Trump to run the RNC after his election in 2016, however, he and others have slammed recent decisions by the committee.

Back in November, Trump demanded that the RNC stop focusing on primary debates and to move on to election processes for 2024.

McDaniel has also faced heavy criticism for large expenses that the RNC has taken on, such as expensive floral arrangements and many other expenditures.

The spending has been a pattern in different reports, going back to Dec. 2022, when it was revealed that McDaniel spent millions of RNC funds on private jets.
