Tulsi Gabbard and other former Democrats took to the stage in DC at the Moms for Liberty Joyful Warriors National Summit. They addressed how far the left has gone and the left-wing positions of the Democratic Party such as sex changes and looking out for the well-being of their children.

Tulsi Gabbard gave an emotion-filled speech, addressing the hate that mothers and fathers get when they are involved with Mom's for Liberty and protecting the rights of their children.

She expressed her gratitude for being able to be homeschooled as a child, saying that even in 2000, her mother saw that grade school children in first, second, and third grade were being given surveys about their sexuality.

Gabbard joined panel discussion with other former Democrats, saying that in order to change the perspective of those on the left, that on an individual level, you have to "have empathy for wherever someone is coming from, and to get past all the words and talking points that are shouted at us on cable TV every day."

"Fundamentally, what are the things that matter most? It is the well-being of our kids. It is the safety of our communities. It is our ability as individuals, as parents, for those of you who are parents, to be able to make the best decision that you can make for yourselves, for your kids, and everything else comes out that is really what is at the core of what's at stake here," she added.

Gabbard, who previously left the Democratic Party, has endorsed Donald Trump and is slated to be on his transition team if the GOP nominee is elected in November. Shawn Theirry, a Texas state representative, also announced her departure from the Democratic Party on stage.

"The Democratic Party has veered so far left, so deep into the progressive abyss, that it now champions policies that I cannot, in good conscience, support. Policies like promoting sex changes for vulnerable children, dismantling Title IX," and others," Thierry said.

During the panel, Theirry, spoke about coming to the choice, pointing to sex changes for children as a main point of concern with the Democrats. "I've talked to a lot of my different colleagues from the national level all the way down to the state, and privately, many of them agree with us."

"Many of them came to me and said, 'Shawn we know it's wrong to castrate boys.' I've had a lot of black colleagues say it's wrong to castrate black men, to sterilize girls." She recalled in one instance that a Democrat said "Just hold your nose" in response. Theirry added that if many Democrats don't do this the top of the Democrat Party ticket "will destroy you" in politics.

The panel included Jennifer Sey, the founder & CEO of XX-XY Athletics, a brand that stands up for women's rights in sports. She addressed the Olympics with boxers Imane Khelif as well as Yang Liu facing controversy around their gender. She said that "gender ideology" is the "most egregious example being told you must carry a lie" on the left.

"70 percent of people agree with us on this issue. It sure doesn't feel like that when you speak up on it, right?" Sey said about men playing in women's sports. Sey voted for Biden in 2020, but has since said that because of COVID-19 policies and positions on gender that she would not be supporting the Democrats in 2024.
