Left-wing activists who harassed and trespassed at the homes of the Board of Regents at the University of Michigan have demanded that the school abolish the police on campus.

Tahrir, the activist group that has been involved in the UMichigan Gaza camp protest that has gone on for weeks, has made demands that the university abolish police on campus.

The group claims to be "a coalition of 80+ organizations fighting for divestment from Israel and the military-industrial complex and reinvestment in our education and our community."

Activists in the organization showed up at the houses of the Board of Regents members for UMichigan, in one instance going at around 4:30 am, to intimidate, harass and trespass on the board members' property.

Other demands that they have drummed up include the school divesting from any companies that are helping to aid Israel, to make a "people's audi" where the leadership will be subject to "community directives," be held "accountable, and align with principles held by all communities the University is obligated to serve."

Additionally, they demanded that the school boycott all Israeli academic institutions. "This includes refraining from participating in any form of academic and cultural cooperation, collaboration, or joint projects with Israeli institutions, such as, but not limited to the academic Michigan-Israel Partnership and UM-SPH’s collaboration with Ben-Gurion University of the Negev," the group demanded. They also want the news crisis response program that will replace the police to be "sustainably funded."

Board of Regents member Jordan Acker, who faced the agitators trespassing on his property, posted on social media: "Around 4:40 A.M., a masked intruder came to the door of my family's home with a list of demands, including defunding the police. My three daughters were asleep in their beds, and thankfully unaware of what transpired."

Individuals believed to be associated with the group wrote in response that the students were "solicitors" at the pre-dawn protest.

"UM regent describing a (student) solicitor at his door as an 'intruder' and 'not peaceful' while his replies are brimming with crazies fantasizing about committing gun violence on that student and student activists at large, entirely unchecked. Is this not incitement?" the user posted.

Another mocked Board of Regents member Sarah Hubbard for taking selfies by the encampment on campus, where many of the agitators had protested before the pre-dawn trespassing.

Tahrir announced plans for the 25th day of the encampment on campus after harassing the board members.

In an Instagram post from Tahrir, a protester is seen in front of the house early in the morning, and is talking into a blowhorn to make demands of Hubbard and the school in general.
