UNICEF ambassador Alyssa Milano touts charity despite scandals

The 20-year UNICEF Ambassador and actress-turned-activist Alyssa Milano neglected to mention that the organization is plagued by allegations of corruption, and that the agency and its parent organization the United Nations are marred by allegations of antisemitism.

Fresh off the heels of public ridicule after swapping her Tesla for an EV from a car company founded by Hitler and the Nazis so she could push back against Elon Musk’s "white supremacy," actress-turned-activist Alyssa Milano embarrassed herself again in an appearance on "The View."

Milano claimed Tuesday during an appearance on the show to do damage control for her ignorant statements over the weekend that had the billionaire Twitter owner and Tesla CEO donated $40 billion to UNICEF rather than purchasing the social media platform he could have ended world hunger.

"Imagine if he donated that money to UNICEF. He would change the world. There would be no hunger," Milano told the hosts of the ABC talk show. "I’m so annoyed with all of these billionaires," she added, "especially with Elon Musk."

Milano continued, "You buy Twitter to destroy it for $40 billion."

However, the 20-year UNICEF Ambassador neglected to mention that the organization is plagued by allegations of corruption, and that the agency and its parent organization the United Nations are marred by allegations of antisemitism.

UNICEF has even funded summer camps in Gaza, which partner with the "Palestinian Youth Association for Leadership and Rights Activation" to produce flattering biographies of terrorists. According to National Review, one of the UNICEF-funded camps was named after a female terrorist.

Milano also said that she got rid of her Tesla when Musk "…was accused of sexual misconduct and paid out $250,000 to this person, I decided, like, I can’t live in that hypocrisy of driving that car."

The UNICEF Ambassador appears to be unaware that the organization has admitted to failings to protect children who alleged that they were raped and sexually abused by peacekeepers.

The agency even admitted failure in managing internal sexual misconduct by their own staff.

On Saturday Milano tweeted, "I gave back my Tesla. I bought the VW ev. I love it."

She added, "I’m not sure how advertisers can buy space on Twitter. Publicly traded company’s products being pushed in alignment with hate and white supremacy doesn’t seem to be a winning business model."

There is no evidence at all that Musk espouses racist principles of white supremacy, but it was pointed out by many on social media that there is plenty of evidence that Volkswagen was founded by Hitler and the Nazis.

The car manufacturing company was founded in 1937 by the German government, then under Hitler's control, with the intention of being "The People's Car Company" and was operated by the Nazi Party. Volkswagen used more than 15,000 concentration camp prisoners to manufacture the vehicles and even had a "death room" where pregnant women delivered babies while on the job, the majority of which did not survive.

The company appears not to have learned the lessons of its own history and has been criticized recently for its business operations in Xinjiang, China, a region home to the largest internment of minorities, the Uyghur Muslims, in internment camps since World War II.

Volkswagen defended its presence in the region by stating that the decision was "based purely on economics" expecting "further economic growth in the region over the coming years."
