Bannon appeared live down the road just down the road from the prison, where he is expected to surrender himself at noon.
Steve Bannon broadcast his last episode of War Room before his surrender to federal prison just down the road the Danbury facility on Monday. He surrenders himself into custody at 12 pm.
Bannons said that the War Room is going to continue and even be bigger.” He was joined by Dave Brat, who touched on the recent Supreme Court cases in recent days.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green and the War Room posse were on hand as well. Chants of “Free Bannon” rose up from the crowd, which held signs in support of Bannon.
Greene said that “America cannot believe what’s happening” in Bannon’s case and that she has been upset with the House GOP and that "Republicans in Congress need to get to work” to protect Americans from federal overreach.
Senator Rand Paul and others spoke to Bannon about the significance of the Chevron decision on air, saying that it is “one of the most important decisions this court will make.” The repeal of Chevron means that federal agencies’ power to rule on “ambiguous” statutes from Congress will be blocked. It is a blow to the administrative state.
Bannon announced his plans for the emergency broadcast on Saturday, saying, "The change of command show—temporarily being relieved by the War Room working group and our cohost—will be on Monday."
Bannon was sentenced to serve four months in prison after being convicted on contempt of Congress charges over refusing to comply with a subpoena from the January 6 committee. After many failed appeals, he was told to report to prison on July 1.
In a special broadcast on Sunday night, Bannon was joined by Jack Posobiec and Charlie Kirk. They discussed the need to work harder, fight longer, and uphold Bannon's grassroots ideals while he serves time.
Posobiec said "Let me be clear about something. I do not care who is on the ballot on the Democrat side. You could put any single Democrat on that ticket and Donald J. Trump, with the MAGa movement behind him, and the War Room posse, and the American people with their eyes finally wide open, about the fact that this guy has been a walking Weekend at Bernie's for four months, is going to win. No one you replace Joe Biden with will defeat Donald Trump or will defeat this movement. We will win. It doesn't matter if you take Steve down, if you take Jack Posobiec down, if you take Charlie down, it doesn't matter.
"There are two many of of us and our people are ascendent. When you tear a man's tongue out all that means if you're telling the world that you're terrified of what he might say."
