Fox News's Laura Ingraham interviewed former House Speaker Newt Gingrich on Wednesday night, when they broached the subject of the border crisis.

The clip starts off announcing that Biden was "foisting this job [of handling the border crisis] onto Kamala Harris." Ingraham then rolls a few clips of Harris saying, during the Trump administration, that:

"We would not put children in cages."

"....the human rights abuse being committed by the United States government. We are not going to allow this to happen, not on our watch."

"I saw children line up single-file based on gender, being walked into barracks. These children have not committed crimes, and should not be treated like criminals."

Ingraham then asks Gingrich if this is the "kiss of death" for Vice President Harris, given her past history of comments about the way the border was enforced:

Gingrich replied "Well, it's very clever of Biden on the eve of his press conference to turn it over to her, so every question tomorrow about the border, he can say 'you know, that's Vice President Harris's job; you need to talk to her about it. Next question.'"

"In that sense he managed just to duck all responsibility for what is not a crisis, it's a disaster. And it's getting worse."
