Canada's own Alex Trebek announced the Ottawa Senator's third overall pick in the 2020 NHL draft, in the only way Alex Trebek knows how—in the form of a clue.

Trebek—who announced last year that he was battling stage four colon cancer—appeared on the Jeopardy! stage to announce that German prospect Tim Stuetzle would be joining the Senators organization.

Trebek, 80, was born in Sudbury, Ontario and is currently living in Los Angeles.

In July of this year, Trebek announced that he would likely stop pursuing medical treatment if the treatment he is currently undergoing for his Stage 4 pancreatic cancer is not successful.
