Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is turning out to be a favorite among Democrat voters, with recent polls showing that 35 percent of Democrats believe he will defeat President Joe Biden in the primary election and will become the party's 2024 presidential nominee.

According to a Rassmussen report that surveyed 1,046 likely US voters, which was conducted between June 20 and June 22, 49 percent of respondents viewed RFK Jr. as favorable, while 14 percent said they have a very favorable view of him.

38 percent of survey respondents viewed Kennedy as unfavorable, compared to 18 percent that said he was very unfavorable. 14 percent of respondents voted that they were unsure, according to the report.

The question asked by Rassmussen that voters responded to was: "Do you have a very favorable, somewhat favorable, somewhat unfavorable or very unfavorable impression of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.?"

The survey also included a second question that stated, "How likely is it that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will end up being the Democratic presidential nominee in 2024," which 31 percent of respondents voted that it's likely Kennedy will become the party's nominee, compared to 9 percent that voted very likely.

57 percent said a Kennedy nomination is unlikely, while 28 percent voted not at all likely. 11 percent of respondents said they were not sure, according to the report.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is the nephew of President John F. Kennedy and the son of the assassinated attorney general, recently ranked the highest in favorability among both his fellow Democrat and Republican challengers, according to an Economist and YouGov poll released earlier this month.

However, Rassmussen reports noted that his rank in favorabilty among voters has seen a slight decrease since May.
