46 percent of voters say that Trump is bringing the right type of change to the country.
According to a poll done by NBC News, Trump's approval rating from the survey conducted between March 7 to 11 of 1,000 registered voters with a margin of error of +/- 3.1%, has tied his last highest approval rating at 47 percent. In addition to the highest mark, more Americans are saying that the country is headed in the right direction since 2004, at a rate of 44 percent, although the majority of voters (54 percent) still say the country is headed in the wrong direction.
46 percent of voters say that Trump is bringing the right type of change to the country while 30 percent say he bringing in the wrong type of change. 21 percent do not think he has brought much change at all.
On an issue-by-issue basis, 56 percent of Americans say Trump is bringing the right type of change on border security and immigration while only 25 percent say he is bringing the wrong change. On federal spending, 47 percent say he is bringing the right change while 29 percent say he is bringing the wrong change.
On the cost of living, 40 percent of Americans say he is bringing the right change while 30 percent say he is bringing the wrong change.
Voters also like the idea of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), that has been led by Elon Musk, even though the tech entrepreneur only has an approval rating on a personal level of 39 percent of voters.
When asked if DOGE's efforts to cut back on federal spending "should continue as much more needs to be done," 33 percent of voters agree with the sentiment. 28 percent on the other hand said that "it is needed but should slow down to assess the impact.” Then another 33 percent said that “it is reckless and should stop now before more damage is done."
