The rapper has previously stated he thinks that Trump will win the upcoming presidential election.
Rapper 50 Cent performed on stage Saturday night in front of an edited photo of his iconic album cover for Get Rich or Die Tryin’, featuring former President Donald Trump's face photoshopped over his own. His performance in front of the image, in Boston, followed the news of an assassination attempt on Trump at a Pennsylvania rally.
After the shooting incident, which left Trump with a wound to his right ear, 50 Cent began trending on X. The trend was spurred by people referencing his famous song "Many Men (Wish Death)," a track about surviving an attempted shooting. 50 Cent acknowledged the trend with a post on X, saying, “Trump gets shot and now I’m trending,” accompanied by the edited photo of his album cover.
In another social media post, which has since been deleted, 50 Cent shared the photo of a bloodied Trump raising his fist up with the American flag behind him. The rapper shared the picture with the song May Men attached to it and said, “I know the vibes… we are all in trouble now!”
The rapper then performed on Saturday night at a show in Boston. While he performed Many Men, the same photo of the edited album cover was displayed on the large screen behind him.
50 Cent has previously spoken positively of Trump, noting that he sees black men identifying with the former president, especially due to his politically motivated legal battles. He has also speculated about the outcome of the upcoming presidential election, stating, "I think Trump's gonna be president again, but I’m not gonna say that."
